The Helsinki Comic Festival 2

Got the first price (5000 euros) from the competition. The jury`s argument for my work was as follows: "Rohkea aihevalinta, viittaa suomalaiseen taiteeseen ja historiaan. Haasteelliset limitetyt aikatasot. Vahva aloitusrepliikki, komea toteutus. Tarttuu voimakkaasti aiheeseen, ja näyttävä kuvallinen esitys." For those abroad I`m saying that these were pretty encouraging words. Now you can at least think: "what the fuck is this language they are mumbling at the country where the icebears walk the streets". They don`t.

The Helsinki Comic Festival

The Helsinki Comic Festival will take place on the 15th and 16th of September which means next weekend! So if you happen to be here, you must be there! I`ll be on stage at Sunday some point between 12.15-12.45pm when the winners of the comic competition (check older posts for details) are announced. Also the competition comic book "5 fantasiaa" or"5 fantasies" will be published (includes "Pelastus ja Anteeksianto" by me). Be there and say hello to me!

...will be published in Sarjis 2007 -competition anthology this autumn. The winner will be declared 16.9.2007 at Helsinki comic convention.

Long long time since...

But here is what: I just finished (few minutes ago) illustrating an 11 -page comic "Yes, Mother" (grayscale). Written by Elizabeth Genco it will be published on The Chemistry Set -site ( I will give the starting date soon as I know it). If you don`t already know E. then go to her site: http://www.elizabethgenco.com/
There is also something about Yes, Mother if you scroll the page...
Anyway here is the page one of it. I`ll be back sooner than this time.

It`s been a while again... but yea; I´ve been working the title called "Pelastus ja anteeksianto" roughly translated as `Salvation and Forgiveness`. These are just clips from it. But it`s finally finished, the ten pages of it, so I`m moving forward to something new...

Some new shit. Just to feel it. The Ghost Collector.
